2019 China International Sporting Goods Expo opens

SHANGHAI, May 23 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 (37th) China International Sporting Goods Expo (hereinafter referred to as 2019 Sports Expo), which is guided by the State General Administration of Sports and organized by the China Sporting Goods Industry Federation, opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) on May 23.

The exhibition area of the Sports Expo is divided into three thematic sections: comprehensive exhibition area, arena exhibition area and fitness exhibition area, with nearly 1,500 exhibitors and an exhibition scale of 180,000 square meters. Thousands of buyers and professional visitors from more than 80 countries and regions will come to visit and purchase at the show. The four-day event, which will close on May 26, is expected to welcome more than 150,000 visitors from home and abroad.

Covering many fields such as fitness, bodybuilding, recreation, nutrition, sports and leisure, ball games, stadium facilities and construction, the 2019 Sports Expo has become a platform for sports industry players to seek business opportunities, understand industry trends and increase their brand influence.

It is the only national sporting goods event in China and the largest international and professional sporting goods event in the Asia-Pacific region. In his opening speech, Li Hua, Chairman of the China Sporting Goods Federation, said that the constant response to changes in trends, innovative exhibition concepts and methods, and continuous optimisation of exhibitors and commodities are also the source of the power of Sports Expo to maintain its vitality and vigorous development momentum.

This year's edition of the fair pays full attention to the needs of end consumers and sports enthusiasts, adding new contents such as winter sports facilities and equipment, youth sports equipment, rehabilitation equipment and services, public service equipment and facilities for national fitness and school sports facilities, which have great potential for development, so as to meet the differentiated needs of participating enterprises and visitors. It is worth noting that for the first time, the 2019 Sports Expo will also welcome pavilions from individual sports associations in the physical reform of kite flying, tennis, baseball, equestrian, golf, rowing and kayaking.
